A difficult one to leave this one as the Poynton beers were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was also good to meet the owner, who owns this micro along with the Poynton Brewery, such a success for a first time brewer and micro pub venture. The pub had six handpumps with three beers from Poynton, which were Viaduct, Simcoe Red IPA and Chinook. I thought the Chinook was a terrific tasting beer so I mostly stuck with that. The interior was mostly rough cut pine timbers and a bare brick wall along the left hand side which added to the theme of the pub.

A decent little micro-like pub. Situated amongst a row of shops this is apparently run by Poynton Beers. Small and friendly with 6 taps along the wall for overpriced crafty stuff and 6 handpulls on the bar for more reasonably priced cask. Most beers from Poynton Brewery but there were 2 guest beers too. The beer was decent and the place is worth a visit if you're in the area.
